That brings tears to my eyes. You are one of the Bravest people I know. I will follow you into the fray. I will stand with you. You are a Leader in so many ways. The WARCRY is needed. Because everything you say is fighting for our democracy that we are currently losing. I’m glad you posted the psycho in the White House’s tirade using Easter Sunday to spew utter Hatred and Vileness toward not just 1/2 the country but I can’t help but wonder how his Christian followers make excuses for what he said. I’ve had my suspicions all along about this stooge. He’s not intelligent enough to pull this off by himself. We better hope that all the social security numbers and tax info that Muskrat just uploaded from SSA and IRS from every single american citizens account, doesn’t end up in Putin’s files. Whoever has that info can potentially wipe out every dime we have and can potentially fund a world takeover:
There is something rancid in America, a slow, creeping rot that smells like cold McDonald’s fries, aerosol hairspray, and the unmistakable musk of a country too sedated to recognize its own hostage situation. For years, the idea that Donald Trump was compromised by Russia was dismissed as paranoid fantasy – just another wild-eyed conspiracy theory, another overblown headline in the endless saga of American political dysfunction.
But now, two former Soviet intelligence officers – Alnur Mussayev (Альнур Мусаев) and Yuri Shvets (Юрий Швец) – are saying it outright: Trump was recruited by the KGB in 1987, groomed as an asset, and remains under Russian control to this day.
And the worst part? He’s already back in the White House.
That’s right, America. You did it. You walked face-first into the banana peel of history, slipped, and fell straight into the arms of Vladimir Putin. Trump was kicked out in 2020, spent four years plotting his comeback, and now he’s returned, like a bloated, orange cockroach that just won’t die. The Kremlin’s favorite stooge is running the country again, and this time, he knows exactly how to stay in power.
If you think this is just another round of the Trump Show, you’re not paying attention. This isn’t politics anymore. This is treason. This is foreign subversion. This is a goddamn coup in slow motion.
Let’s break it down, nice and simple.
Alnur Mussayev isn’t some Twitter conspiracy theorist with a tinfoil hat and a podcast. He’s the former head of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee, which means he knows exactly how Russian intelligence works – because he was part of the system. And what he’s saying should make every American’s blood run cold.
According to Mussayev, Trump was identified, recruited, and compromised by the KGB in 1987 during his first trip to Moscow. They saw him for what he was: a narcissistic, greedy, attention-starved buffoon who could be easily manipulated. The KGB flattered him, promised him business deals, and planted the seeds of political ambition in his empty little head. And from that moment on, he was their man.
But Mussayev isn’t alone. Former KGB major Yuri Shvets said the exact same thing in 2021: Trump was cultivated by Soviet intelligence because he was an easy mark – too stupid to realize he was being played, too egotistical to care. They saw him as a useful idiot – a man who could one day be nudged into power, a walking, talking Trojan Horse for Russian interests.
And now? The plan has worked. Trump spent four years in office weakening America from within, got booted out, and now he’s back for round two.
If you had told the American public in 1962 that a Soviet-backed asset would one day sit in the White House, they would have burned Washington to the ground before letting it happen. But today? Nobody seems to care.
The media treats this like just another wacky subplot in the never-ending Trump reality show. Congress is too busy fighting over meaningless culture war nonsense to do anything about it. And the American public? Exhausted. Numb. Checked out. Years of scandals – Russia collusion, Ukraine blackmail, classified documents, tax fraud, sexual assault, an attempted coup – have fried the country’s brain like an overcooked steak at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump has done the impossible. He has committed so many crimes, so openly, so brazenly, that none of them matter anymore.
And now, with Mussayev’s revelation that Trump is an active foreign asset, we have finally reached the point where the biggest political scandal in American history is met with a collective shrug.
This is how democracy dies –!not with a bang, but with a goddamn eye-roll.
This is the part where the skeptics start clutching their pearls. “Oh, come on,” they say. “If Trump were really a Russian asset, wouldn’t there be more proof?”
To which I say: Are you blind, or just willfully stupid?
Let’s go through the evidence, shall we?
Trump spent his entire first term doing exactly what Russia wanted. He attacked NATO, calling it “obsolete” and threatening to pull the U.S. out. He tried to blackmail Ukraine into manufacturing dirt on Joe Biden, because weakening Ukraine helps one man and one man only: Vladimir Putin. He pulled U.S. troops out of Syria, handing power over to Russian forces. He picked fights with Canada and Europe while cozying up to dictators.
Even now, in his second term, he is more openly pro-Putin than ever. He has made it clear that he will not protect NATO allies from Russian aggression. He is actively dismantling America’s alliances, just as Russia planned. And while Americans scream at each other over whether Target should sell rainbow t-shirts, Trump is quietly selling the country to the Kremlin.
At some point, you have to stop calling it a coincidence and start calling it what it is: treason.
The United States is running out of time. If Trump serves out this term without being removed, America as a functioning democracy is finished.
The media needs to wake up. Enough with the “Trump fatigue” excuse. This is not just another scandal – this is the single greatest infiltration of American power in history. Journalists need to dig into Mussayev’s claims, demand declassification of intelligence files, and treat this like the national emergency that it is.
Congress needs to subpoena Mussayev immediately. His testimony must be public, and every document he has should be reviewed. If there is proof that Trump has been compromised since the 1980s, the American people need to know.
The Justice Department needs to stop pretending that Trump is just another politician. If there is evidence that the sitting president of the United States is working in Russia’s interests, he must be removed from office and prosecuted for espionage.
And the American public? You have one last chance. This is not about Republican vs. Democrat. This is not about taxes, gas prices, or whatever nonsense outrage is dominating the news today. This is about whether the United States remains a sovereign nation, or if we spend the rest of the century as a Russian client state with a golf course.
The sheer volume of Trump's corruption, the blatant nature of his crimes, the mountain of evidence that should have ended his political career a hundred times over – none of it mattered. He survived it all, not because he was innocent, but because he drowned the country in so much scandal that nothing stuck.
But this time, it’s different. If Mussayev and Shvets are right, this isn’t just another chapter in the endless Trump circus. This is the culmination of a decades-long Russian intelligence operation to install an asset in the White House.
There is no coming back from this. If America lets Trump serve out this term without removing him, then the United States as a democratic republic is finished. The country won’t collapse overnight. There won’t be tanks in the streets. Instead, the destruction of democracy will happen in slow motion – buried under lawsuits, propaganda, and corruption so blatant that people stop caring.
If America lets this happen – if Trump is allowed to complete his mission – then Putin wins. The West crumbles. And the people who could have stopped it will look back, years from now, and wonder how they let it happen.
Good night, and good luck. Because if people don’t wake up, America is going to sleepwalk straight into its own funeral.
Since January 20, this country has turned hard. Not by accident—by design.
The civil service? Gutted.
Experts? Fired.
Replaced by loyalists acting out Project 2025 line by line.
The military was purged of ethics. Scientists erased for inconvenient truths. Pages about Black soldiers deleted. “Gay” filtered out of history.
This isn’t governance. It’s a controlled demolition. They’re not hiding it—it’s all in the document:
• Replace the generals.
• Cancel visas.
• Revoke protections.
• Expand executive power.
A 922-page blueprint for authoritarian rule—and they are following it to the letter.
This isn’t a presidency. It’s a hostile takeover.
I’ve lived my entire life in this country. I’ve never imagined living anywhere else. Not during war, not Watergate, not 9/11. I was proud to be American. I still am.
But now? I sleep with one hand on my wife’s back just to feel her breathe. I check ICE activity before the weather.
I have a go-bag.
My wife is Canadian. She could leave. But I’m the American, and I’m the one researching asylum. That’s the bitter irony.
Every day, something sacred is stripped away. Truth. Marriage. Memory. Safety.
They want silence where we had voices. They want obedience masked as patriotism.
They want a past that never existed. And they’re getting it—because too many of us didn’t believe they would.
Project 2025 is not theoretical. It’s not a warning. It’s a roadmap. And they are driving full speed.
If you love this country—really love it—then this is the moment.
Not to panic.
But to stand.
Because this isn’t about left and right anymore. It’s about what’s left. And whether we’re brave enough to save it.
Dearest Gloria, I really love to do a Substack Live with you telling people this truth. Truly. Discussing U.S. 2025 and Germany 1933 discussion Concentration Camps then and now. What ever. Just tell both our truth. From both sides of the Atlantic.
Because I see the same truth from my side of the Atlantic. And I would fight alongside you and all the others. Be what was called in WWII the "Feindsender" "Enemy Public Broadcast".
Jay Siegmann, Crystal-Lee and Gloria Horton-Young (She who stirs the STORM!!) -- First, your battleship boldly cruises against head winds and high rip tides in these times, among many times in America's history, of tyrannical hurricane.
Think of the Communist scares, first after 1919 by Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer; the thundering to millions of the fascistic Fr. James Coughlin lambasting the New Deal and spreading Fascist propaganda during the late 1930s, the House Un-American Activities Committee hearings in the late 1940s (when I was born), Joe McCarthy, the scores of years (1919-1972) under the virtual dictatorship of John Edgar Hoover -- who distinguished himself by trying to extort Dr. Martin Luther King into suicide.
So, we are living nothing new, but another hurricane of tyranny.
Billie Holiday sang of one hurricane of tyranny in her beautiful "Strange Fruit" that makes one shed tears for epidemic lynchings.
So, if it is not safe to dissent, as in many times in our country has been the case, I for one join you!
Germany used to be my number one place for refuge, if I needed to flee.
But now, even in my beloved Rheinpfalz, with so many of my loved ones, the area voted 20% for AfD!!!
There are a few refuges.
My wife would never consent that I move away from Memphis near our grandkids, or I would have our family move to Quebec or Ottawa.
Then I could write from there safely.
Those that can move there should.
I cannot, so will remain at risk, because I will continue to speak out.
Crystal-Lee and Gloria Horton-Young (She who stirs the Storm!!) — To move to safety for you and your good, loving wife can be both courageous and beautiful.
Ottawa and Quebec are good, beautiful and free parts of this, the New World.
It is not easy. It is very hard.
But it may become a beautiful part of your married life.
We will remain friends and Stir the Storm with you forever, wherever your beautiful family lives.
You will continue the resistance and we will take joy in your family!!
You speak with the memory of someone who’s watched the storm circle again and again—and still stands. I honor that deeply. You remind us that history doesn’t repeat—it haunts. And when we refuse to name the ghost, it grows stronger.
You write of Germany as a place of refuge. I wish I could echo that. But for me, it has never been sanctuary. Since I was three, this society has tried to silence me—through ostracism, discrimination, and the slow violence of exclusion. I was not safe here then. I am not safe now. And I am preparing to leave.
I am queer. I am non-binary. I am trans. I am German—and I carry that with both defiance and grief. Never Again Is Now—and too many are pretending not to see.
And I will not be silent. Not by free will.
The masses have always had the power to shift the course of history—through protest or sheer force. It just takes time to mobilize them. The Berlin Wall took decades of tension to crack, and even after the first protests began, it took five more months before the tide turned.
Every place SHOULD be, because there is no exception to each person being, as the Holy Talmud teaches, a whole cosmos.
Each person is worthy of love, of a life in nourishment, health, shelter, career, retirement, quiet dignity.
Each person has infinite worth and must be protected.
I would guess in Europe that Sweden must be a place that could afford non-judgmental life.
Having lived in the villages near Kaiserslautern in the Rheinpfalz, the people there are well-meaning and good, but . . . "alt-modisch" -- old-fashioned, shall we say. So, I can see that could present bigotry and harassment, even though intellectual life in Germany is very open.
My guess would be that Sweden could be a safe haven.
I would be hard pressed to find a place I thought would be safer.
Thank you, Armand, for your heartfelt words. I deeply appreciate the way you speak of each person as a whole cosmos—there’s such beauty and truth in that. Yes, every place should be safe. Every person should be able to live in dignity, with care, shelter, and space to simply exist as themselves. That shouldn’t be radical. And yet, it still is, far too often.
About Sweden: I hear you, and it’s true that from the outside it can seem like a progressive haven. But even there, right now, far-right tendencies are growing—and that rise isn’t just theoretical. It’s having real effects on policy, rhetoric, and everyday safety for trans people and other marginalized groups. To be honest, I can’t afford most of the Nordic countries anyway. If I were to consider going north, Norway would probably be the option I’d explore—but my body simply doesn’t do well with cold climates, so that direction feels out of reach.
If, for any reason, I have to stay in Europe (and truthfully, I’d rather not), Spain feels like a place where I could breathe. I already speak a bit of Spanish, and I know my way around. It’s not perfect, but it offers a kind of familiarity and warmth.
Ideally, if I can manage it as a digital nomad, New Zealand sounds like one of the most welcoming places. Australia draws me too, especially its red earth—but I’d need a visa sponsor to stay long-term. I have friends in South Africa, and while it's a bit of a mixed bag, I do feel a kinship there—it could be a place to land temporarily, just to begin healing from the trauma of recent years.
Mexico and Costa Rica are also on my list, depending on what’s possible. And I would love to go to Canada. That dream still lingers. Realistically, though, staying there long-term would likely depend on finding someone to fall in love with—a Canadian partner who wants to build a life together.
So, my search continues, not just for a place, but for the possibility of peace, safety, and joy. Thank you again for your compassion. It matters. It truly does.
I have heard many are also considering Portugal, especially are is it less expensive to get a permanent residency golden visa there. I have heard it is quite affordable for Americans. Only around 9,000 USD. If all other options fails, Spain might be it. Yet ,I long to leave Europe behind. That's what my intuition and soul tells me, and I have learned to listen to it. Both long for a place I am currently not able to go, so it might be the next nearest option, with would be Mexico or Costa Rica, as Canada is not affordable for me and their Visa restriction to high.
Crystal-Lee and Gloria Horton-Young (She who stirs the Storm!) --
Jay Siegmann,
I would LIKE to say Spain, but my hesitancy -- myself being Roman Catholic -- is that Spain would be "alt-modisch".
I would LOVE to live near Madrid and be a supporting member of the Prada.
That would be my heaven on earth.
I have learned German at a C2/C1 level; I could easily learn Spanish for love of the country.
As for Mexico: Be careful! It is a wonderful country and I have met so many beautiful Mexican persons. But the Gangs have killed over 500 civil servants, serving some heads on the entrance-steps to their bureaucracies. I have spent quality time there, but would afraid of being kidnapped. In some places, the Gangs extort "protection money" from Government security officials who would be responsible for public safety!
Research very carefully.
Some gay sites I have read praise Berlin, or at least parts of Berlin, as being Gay/Trans friendly.
God, I would have hoped by now that such care in planning would not have been necessary!
My God, it is terrible the atmosphere in America under this Administration.
And 20% voted AfD even in my little Rheinpfalz! My God.
And Bad Dürkheim is so beautiful and dear!
God, I love my Wahlverwandtschaften in the Rheinpfalz!
You have been my shoulder to lean on for hundreds of days now. I don’t know how I would have had the courage to write these without strong voices like yours. Hugs, Diane.
#NeverAgain #TodosSomosKilmar #DivestfromTesla #DivestfromStarlink #ElbowsUp! #PatriotsAgainstFacsism! #ThereAreMoreofUs Thank you for lighting the spark to get us roaring, Gloria!
Your first question herein: how do I feel, deep in my heart—ANGER and almost life-ending GRIEF. My parents were both POWs in WW II and came through it; I’m not sure I could. At 78, I am mentally strong but physically weak. Reading your words adds to my store of HOPE.
Joyce, my motto is “Never give up, never surrender!” I am trying my best to live by that credo very single hour of every single day. I, too feel overwhelming anger and grief so you are not alone. Hugs.
Your words cut through all pretense of ' everything's fine. everything is normal. And I am so very, very grateful that your wrote that.
This 47th administration is a abomination against humanity.
For weeks now, I call my Maga House Rep Kevin Kiley dam near daily , at both his Washington & California office ..sometimes I call 2x a day. I call before coffee..it's my ' I'm going to give kiley a daily headache call' I also email him far too much too count.
I can not be silent.. I have never had any doubts in my 74 years in life -to bend a knee . It was never in my mind set.... I come from an amazing group of Anti Fascists long gone but never forgotten:
#NeverAgain #TodosSomosKilmar #DivestfromTesla #DivestfromStarlink #ElbowsUp! #PatriotsAgainstFacsism! #ThereAreMoreofUs Thank you for lighting the spark to get us roaring, Gloria!
His face, his voice, his words create a white hot rage in the center of my being. He is a traitor, a felon and a grifter who is stripping our country for parts and giving the rest to Putin. I will not bend the knee, and will fight every way I can while still protecting my vulnerable family members. It's a tough balance, to keep myself safe enough to keep them safe... but I am still fighting. #RuleOfLaw #NotInMyName #NoKings
To hell with Godwin's Law - this is serious as a heart attack, maybe more so..... If we do not fight for the soul and ideals of this country now, it will be too late - even now, it may well take a generation to repair the damage done already by this degenerate cabal of losers posing as builders of a new order. It's not a new order - it's the same old order that we fought at Antietam and Gettysburg, at Belleau Wood, at Normandy and Iwo Jima, gussied up in 900 pages of political heresy, seeking to destroy the 245-year history of the United States and replace it with a dictatorship of the wealthy elite. Just as southern slavers tried in the 1850s, robber barons tried in the 1890s and 1920s, the forces of authoritarianism (and ultimately fascism) are on the march. 250 years ago, a small group of men left Boston and rode to Lexington and Concord to warn colonial leaders that British soldiers were coming to arrest them and capture the arms and powder stored for the colonial militias to use. We here, now, can do no less. Americans in general do not take to the streets as often as people in other nations do - it is time to change that. Mass demonstrations, boycotts, general strikes to shut down whole cities - all these can work to save our country, the one we thought we lived in until about two months ago. It has never lived up to all the ideals written in its founding documents, but slowly, over the past 245 years, the arc of the universe has bent toward justice. It is unwinding now, but we can restore that path to a better and more equal life for all Americans - if we will only do what is necessary to stop the current government from completing the task they have set - the destruction of the United States.....
As I reread the dictator wannabes message I think he is sincerely thanking those that cheated on his behalf. How low can he go? Thanks for your message.
He will go as low as we let him. Our elected representatives are not doing their jobs so we must stay up to this sham of a leader and drag our country back to democracy. We can do that together.
I could not agree with you more. Active resistance is a must for everyone who believes in freedom, and democracy. We must find a way to behave like Dr. King and maintain a peaceful protest as long as we can, but sadly we must be prepared, as those brave souls who came before us, to fight for what is just.
I would like to say MLK’s way would be successful. I am more inclined to be on the side of Patrick Henry at this time in our history. Thank you for replying and being a part of this discussion.
You possess a backbone of steel, Gloria!
I spent most of last night on the floor leaning against my old ratty chair with my knees pressed against my chest, my arms wrapped around my legs, and my head bowed into my knees, shaking and trying to find my bravery to post this warcry. Thank you, Karen. You are so diligent at restacking and commenting. I appreciate all you do every single day.
Karen As SOON AS POSSIBLE IS NOW!!!!
That’s the truth!
Not Crystal, but "CRY" LoL what ever works, right 🤗👍
I understood exactly what you meant and thank you for your words.
Her cry was crystal clear
Sally, all our cries must be crystal clear at this point in time…because we are running out of time.
💯 the increasing lawlessness of ICE staff is terrifying.

Yes, and you are the star which fine with me!!!
Marc, I wrote diaries, bits of poetry, and letters —- nothing else.
Perfectly expressed truth

He is the devil incarnate.

Let’s email about it. I think we could do that and it be meaningful and definitely needed.
Contact me about it. I am definitely open to it.
We join you, dear friends, we join you.
Unfortunately, the subject of moving is a hot topic in our home, Armand.
Before the Resurrection occurred the crucifixion.
We in ‘Stackland love your family!
Dear Armand,
You speak with the memory of someone who’s watched the storm circle again and again—and still stands.

Thank you for standing with us. I see your courage, and I return it with mine.

#WeWillNotBeSilenced
I am a lion, and I roar.
I am queer. I am non-binary. I am trans. I am German.
I am not safe here. But I will not be silent.
Never Again Is Now.
My hill is here. Where’s yours?
I am not certain that we have time left in America.
Jay Siegmann: As far as safety for Trans . . .
Spain is the most favored country as Americans currently. Canada is too uncertain politically and too under the thumb of America.

Gloria, you’re our Lighthouse, our Firebrand🔥#TogetherWeStandUp
You have been my shoulder to lean on for hundreds of days now. I don’t know how I would have had the courage to write these without strong voices like yours. Hugs, Diane.
Diane, those are perfect tags! Thank you.

So do I!

These are fantastic, Schehetazade!
' I will not be defeated by any expedient '.
Thank you for your brave, firebrand words, Lillian. ❤️

Thank you!!
Go Gloria!! You are a true leader. I’m reposting this and more of your writings
Thank you. I appreciate your willingness to stand up and speak up. I love Awakening to the Truth. What a perfect name.
Thank you Gloria. I hope the next protest coming in May is larger so we can get to a critical place - 3.5%
Why a Thursday though? It seems counterproductive to have a protest march on a weekday…
Wholeheartedly agree. I think of you and yours every single day. Love you 🥰
I decided on both barrels.....
In this together!!!
We are, Jean!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ Gloria, keep kicking ass!
Oh, honey, I’m just getting started.
I have written an essay about Trump “The Great Destroyer” to be published tomorrow.
Thank you, Marc! I can’t wait to read it.
You are not alone sister! I fight with you!
Thank you 🙏 Elizabeth.
