This operates on more levels than most would catch at first glance, I think. Pop culture forced into service of the existential political diatribe. The culture referenced itself a work that did much the same. A song stitched together from songs torn from their place, a Frankenstein’s monster that shows the monster within the system, which persecutes such ideas just as readily as the pitch forked mob.
