This is gorgeously written—lush, cinematic, and intoxicating. Definitely don’t know what I did to be included in tribute here but I love this! As usual your fictional pieces remain as intriguing as ever. Thanks for sharing your talent with us! ❤️❤️ also I love that you’re so into this train now :) hoping some day we can travel on board.
What a birthday gift— an intensely evoked seduction and otherworldly encounter ♥️ @Crystal Lee — Happy happy birthday and may today and all your days be filled love♥️
When I was 4, my mother and I took the train from Boston to Indianapolis. My mother's father, who lived with her sister and her sister's family, had died, but my grandfather had never treated my mother well, so she didn't love him. She was going to support her sister, who HAD had a close relationship with their father.
It was marvelous to be on a train, watching the countryside as we passed through it and having dinner in the dining car. Eventually, we went back to our compartment, and my mother set up the beds, and we went to sleep.
I had a few encounters on trains in early adulthood, one on a train from Munich to Amsterdam, but I'll save those for another day.
Some trains are living legends. They don’t just sell a ticket or luxury—they sell an atmosphere, an experience, a myth. They sell Hercule Poirot and James Bond. The Royal Scotsman has always been a favorite of mine, as has the Blue Train from Cape Town to Dar es Salaam.
Reading your exquisite piece, I didn’t just read it—I lived it. I leaned in and felt it. The tux settling across my shoulders like second skin, the silk of her dress brushing mine. Every evocative touch, every lingering glance. The sensuous satin of a scallop melting on my tongue, the truffle’s earthiness, the bittersweet rush of chocolate. I even tasted the brandy, smelled the espresso that would have sat beneath my dessert—both already mine, claimed through your words.
If the Orient Express ever wanted to seduce women like us aboard, they’d only need to film your story as a short and watch the carriages fill with lesbians eager for the ride. Breathtaking.
And of course—Happy Birthday to you, Crystal. This story feels like a promise of journeys still to come. May your day carry that same shimmer of anticipation and love.
I got to take an Amtrak train from S Carolina to Ohio once, with a stop in DC. It was a (do you call late train rides “red eye” like you do planes?)…I got a sleeper cabin and loved falling asleep to the sounds. Not the Orient Express but I enjoyed it!

Happy Birthday to you. This story is sure a promise for what is in the stars, today and forever. So glad you two found each other. It is so precious.
Beautiful, inviting… and deeply seductive! What a wonderful narrative. I don’t want it to end.
Beautiful and evocative
Your writing makes me feel like a peeping Tom. I feel like it would be polite look away but I don’t dare.
Beautiful 🧡 and Happy Birthday to Crystal

This was far hotter and steamier than the ongoing 100+° days we’ve been having here. 🥵 Talk about making one melt! 🫠
Happy birthday, Crystal❣️
She had a grand day!

Gloria, you take one’s breath away with writing such as this. True eroticism, pure in its taste and touch, effervescent as the champagne.
Happy Birthday Crystal.
Breathtaking... I had to read it twice because the first time, I felt so anxious to know what happened next, I read it too fast. It's stunning.
Happy Birthday to Crystal-lee! 🎊
